Lieutenants and mounts

In Dynasty Warriors Online a lieutenant is a companion officer or animal who travels with you. In the original game they fought at your side and some could be ridden into battle. On DWO Reborn lieutenants are, for now, companions in town: the battle part is still being built.
Lieutenants in battle
Lieutenants do not take part in battles on DWO Reborn yet. Until they do, the Lieutenant+ slot of your flask ring (slot 4) gives a random short buff instead.
Riding in town
Your house's garden has a stable with mounts that every player can use: a tiger, a wolf and an elephant.
- Go to your house and step into the garden.
- Click a mount in the stable and choose Mount.
- Ride around town; riding is much faster than running.
- To send it home, choose Standby (or Dismiss to let it go).
- The mount you chose stays with you after a battle and after logging out, until you send it home.
- Elephants are too big for the Market: they wait outside and you walk in on foot.
Companions in your house
Companions that cannot be ridden wait in your house. Click one for Escort (it follows you), Standby (it stays home) or Dismiss. Clicking your companion in town also gives quick access to your letters (Letter Check and Outbox).
