Items: consumables, gems, orbs and crafting
The kinds of items, battle items and how to bring them, gems and ore, orbs, crafting at the Cauldron, and how storage works.
- Choose one battle item before each battle; it works by itself.
- Gems temper weapons; Ore is for crafting.
- Full storage never deletes anything: new items just stop arriving.

Items fall into a few groups: things you carry into battle, things you use in town, and materials for tempering and crafting. You will collect a lot of them; this chapter tells you which matter.
The item tabs
| Tab | What is in it | Examples |
|---|---|---|
| Battle Items | Items you carry into a battle for its whole length. | Orbs, Elixir, Remedy |

Open them from the main menu: Equipment, then Items.
Battle items: what to bring
Battle items are chosen in Battle Preparations before each battle and work on their own; there is no item key to press. A room set to items off takes battle items away for that battle.
| Item | What it does | Merchant price |
|---|---|---|
| Fire, Ice, Lightning, Wind or Vorpal Orb | Gives your weapon that element for the battle. | 400 |
| Elixir | Slowly restores Life all battle. | 200 |
| Remedy | Slowly refills your Musou gauge all battle. | 800 |
| Tiger Amulet | More Attack. | 400 |
| Tortoise Amulet | More Defense. | 200 |
| Large Flask / Storage Flask | Start the battle with 3 or 5 flasks on your counter. | 200 / 400 |
| Ginseng | Start the battle with one Combo+ already used. | 800 |
| Time Scroll | Buffs and Advance+ last a little longer. | 800 |
| Wards (Thermal, Ice, Blitz, Wind, Vorpal) | Cancel one element completely, and add a stat. | 800 |
| Rain Amulet | Makes it rain for the whole battle. | 400 |
- Herbal Elixir (a stronger Elixir) and Granite Belt (resists being knocked into the air) are not sold: craft them, or win them as rare rewards.
- In battle, meat buns dropped by soldiers restore Life, and some pickups refill your Musou gauge.
A good first loadout: an Elixir or a Tortoise Amulet for survival, or an orb if your weapon's charge attacks carry an element.
Gems and ore
- Gems (Ruby, Jade, Lapis, Topaz and Amber) are spent on tempering, one colour per stat. True gems are a higher grade of the same five.
- Ore is used for crafting, Element Imbue and element repair.
- Every battle pays a few gems and ore, more for a win. The Antique Dealer sells them for Miso Koins.
- Gems and ore cannot be sold to the Merchant or listed on the Broker.
Orbs
| Orb | How to get it | Use |
|---|---|---|
| Rank 1 (Fire, Ice, Lightning, Wind, Vorpal Orb) | The Merchant, 400 gold. | Carry as a battle item. |
| Rank 2 (Inferno, Blizzard, Blitz, Tornado, True Vorpal Orb) | Craft from two matching Rank 1 orbs at a Cauldron; sometimes a reward for winning. | A stronger battle item, and the material for Element Imbue. |
Crafting at the Cauldron
- Go to the Shared Cauldron in the Market, or a cauldron in your house.
- Open the recipe list and choose a recipe.
- Put in the materials (and Ore if the recipe needs it). The window shows the success rate.
- Confirm.
- Every character already knows the most useful recipes: Rank 2 orbs from two Rank 1 orbs, the Herbal Elixir from two Elixirs and the Granite Belt from two Stone Belts.
- The Shared Cauldron charges a fee (50 gold for basic recipes, more for higher ones), succeeds less often, and a failure loses one material. At a cauldron in your own house there is no fee and a failure keeps both materials.
- Your recipe list is in the main menu under Information, Personal, Prescriptions.
Cooking and gardening are not available on DWO Reborn yet.
Storage and limits
| What | Where it is kept | Starter house |
|---|---|---|
| Weapons | Armories in your house (4 each) | 12 weapons |
| Gear | Your wardrobe | 20 pieces per slot |
| Consumables | Your bag | 30 kinds, 9 of each |
- More armories, bigger wardrobes, tool shelves and tool chests (Antique Dealer) raise the limits.
- When a store is full nothing is deleted: new items of that kind simply stop coming in until you make room.
- Guilds can buy shared storage for their members.
